Paper moves to new offices after 25 years on Schmidt Road

The contracts have been signed, the keys have been transferred and The Sealy News has officially moved into its new offices at 327 Fowlkes Street in downtown Sealy after 25 years on Schmidt Road.

The newspaper will continue to print Thursday papers each week, and readers can still call the same number (979-885-3562) or contact existing emails to contact News representatives. The postal address (PO Box 480) also remains the same.

“The Sealy News is a staple in the community and we’re proud to continue that tradition more than 134 years later,” said Executive Editor Karen Lopez. “Be sure to come next week and visit us at our new location and help welcome us to the neighborhood!”

The new press office will be at the corner of Fowlkes and Fourth streets, next to First Texas Home Health and across from Bill’s Country Market.

“We are very excited to settle into our new centralized location in the heart of downtown Sealy and continue to provide quality coverage throughout Austin County, said General Manager Amy Lieb. “We look forward to joining the downtown district and strengthening our existing partnerships while diversifying and establishing new partnerships with nearby businesses.”
