The Webster sisters, Rachel and Bailey, take college courses online through Rowan Cabarrus Community College.

While they’ve taken college courses throughout their high school careers, following them online during the pandemic, they’ve been able to get away with it even better. They even say they have more free time now to get more involved in extracurricular activities.

Community colleges across the country have seen an influx of high school students taking advantage of online classes during the pandemic.

It’s a trend the Webster sisters suggest every high school student should take advantage of if possible.

“Oh, it’s been super cool because these classes aren’t even offered in high school,” Bailey says. “So I can take them online or really when I’m free in my schedule. And then I still have time to go to high school and take classes there.

The Webster twins plan to attend Catawba College this fall, starting college as juniors, two years ahead of schedule.
