The offices were closed for three days on Wednesday October 13 for disinfection purposes and remain closed today Friday October 15, 2021, the Belize Forestry Department said in a statement.

“This measure is necessary to clean up the offices and carry out tests on the staff of the Forestry Department,” the statement said.

The Belize Forestry Department said the services will continue to be provided to the public online.

The Forestry Department can be contacted using the following phone numbers and email addresses to contact staff.

The Belize Forestry Department said applications for forestry licenses can be picked up at any Forestry Department office, requested at secretariat@forest.gov.bz, or via Facebook. Applications can then be filed or submitted by email.

“The Forestry Department thanks the public for their cooperation and understanding and continues to encourage the public to get vaccinated and to adhere to the health measures put in place to protect the health and safety of all,” the statement said.
